All about Shipping....the Royal way!

How does shipping a puppy work?
As of January 2023, the safest, best way to ship small puppies is either by a pet nanny, ground transportation or by using our concierge service where your puppy flies with me, in the cabin, and is pampered the entire trip.
Before Covid, puppies could fly unaccompanied in a pressurized, temperature controlled environment on United airlines. No more. United no longer ships pets and American Airlines (the only one who does ship puppies out of Oklahoma) does not offer a temperature controlled environment so they will only ship if the temperature is between 40 and 85 degrees everywhere along the route. If the temperature is outside of that range, your puppy will be bumped and rescheduled for a different day/time.
How much does it cost?
Typically $550-650 for a pet nanny. With a pet nanny, you do not get to pick the day or time of delivery. This is usually an off duty flight attendant flying standby with your puppy.
Ground transportation depends on how many miles the driver has to travel. Typical charge is 50-75 cents per mile.
Concierge service is typically $600-800. The price is entirely dependant on the cost of the airline ticket (determined by the airline, how and when you book, time of year etc..). We do not "up charge" for the concierge service. You pay for the flight (and hotel if an overnight stay is necessary--very rare) and that's it!
What else should I know?
Generally, healthy puppies ages 8 weeks and older are allowed to fly. Occasionally, a puppy who is very tiny or whom I feel isn't ready to travel, may have to wait until he/she is older. It is at my sole discretion when a puppy may leave to his/her new home.
Making a reservation for a pet to fly is different than a human. Sometimes you have a choice in flights and sometimes you do not. Sometimes we are simply assigned a flight depending on which flights going to your specific destination is allowing pets. I do my best to accommodate your shipping time preferences but cannot guarantee a certain time, flight or airport will be available. Please note that if you check flights on an airline website, it will not be accurate for what is available for animal shipment. I work directly with the airline's pet travel desks to make flight arrangements.
Before being shipped, your puppy will receive all necessary vaccinations; will be checked by my vet and given an interstate health certificate which deems him/her healthy enough to fly. When you receive your new baby at the airport of your choice, your puppy will be clean, freshly groomed and be accompanied by a travel crate, food and supplies, registration papers, and written health guarantee. If you choose a puppy and want him/her shipped, you must print my health guarantee, sign and date it, and return it via mail or email before the puppy can be shipped. Shipping costs must be paid a minimum of 48 hours prior to the flight time.
